Why do you need a go bag?

During wildfire evacuation you won’t have access to your home just the things you bring with you. You should always be prepared for an emergency for every family member in your household; especially during fire season or high risk times.

  • Car has a full tank of gas

  • Vehicles are already pointed towards exit (trailers already attached if you have animals)

  • You know multiple routes to evacuate
  • Have a meeting place with other friends and family
  • Pets and livestock have somewhere to go (notify a humane society if you don’t have somewhere for animals to go)
  • Home is prepared as much as possible (no flammable stuff near your house, all windows are shut, no people or animals are still inside)
